Delivery Policy

We charge a delivery fee for every order you place, which will be billed at checkout.

This fee is currently a standard flat rate charge of R115.00 (one hundred and fifteen) for any delivery which takes 3 to 5 working days, with the exceptions of furniture and certain outlying areas.

Additional delivery charges (which will vary, depending on your delivery address) apply to outlying areas, as well as the delivery of furniture.

We reserve the right to alter the delivery fee at any time prior to your purchase.

If you purchase goods on a gift registry, you (the person purchasing the goods) will have to pay the delivery fees. You can choose to have the goods delivered to the address specified by the gift registry owner, or to another address specified and verified by you. Kindly take note that the delivery charges may vary depending on which option you choose. You and the gift registry owner will both receive an order confirmation email to confirm the delivery of the goods.

Home Emporium will arrange for delivery to your door via our chosen courier partner.

Deliveries are conducted between 09h00 and 17h00 from Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) and delivery is limited to within South Africa.

Our ability to deliver is also always subject to certain factors including, but not limited to, the availability of the goods and the supply of accurate delivery address details.

We will always do our best, but in no way guarantee, to ensure that delivery happens on the agreed date.

The delivery date may be subject to change due to circumstances which may be beyond our control. Take note that the new date will be communicated and agreed with you.

Please ensure that you or your authorised representative is available at the delivery address for collection of the purchase/s.

If anyone other than you accept delivery of the goods at the delivery address, they are presumed to be authorised to accept the goods on your behalf.

On delivery we will require that you or your authorised representative sign for the goods, write down your or their name and produce an original ID or driver’s license for the purpose of proving their identification. This is to confirm that the goods have been received.

The onus is upon the purchaser to track their purchase/s via the stipulated courier track/trace portal.

If the purchaser or authorised representative is not present at the stipulated delivery address to accept delivery, any additional delivery charges that will be incurred as a result of non-delivery as a result of your failure to allow us access to deliver your purchase/s and, but not limited to, your or your authorised representative’s failure to be available at the time of delivery.

If we are unable to deliver the goods to you, or should we deem it appropriate under the circumstances, we reserve the right to cancel your order, deduct charges incurred in respect of the failed delivery and/or any storage fees and refund the balance due to you.

You are required to inspect your purchase/s on delivery and inspect each good/s when they are delivered to you.

If you are satisfied that the goods are in good condition and not damaged, you or your representative are required to sign the delivery slip, which will be proof that the goods have been delivered in a good, undamaged condition.

If the goods are damaged in any way, you must note the damage on the delivery slip, notify us immediately and not accept delivery of the goods.

If you do not note the damage on the delivery slip, we are entitled to regard the goods as if they were in good condition and not damaged when delivered to you.

We have outsourced all delivery services and we will not be liable for any damage suffered or any losses incurred arising out of any act or omission by the deliverer, its directors, employees, sub-contractors, agents or representatives.
